After a triumphant return from Milan, expectations were set high for USA's premier eyewear show, Vision East Expo in New York City, plus the independent show at The Loft. However despite having great success in Milan, there was much trepidation, as Niloca wasn't able to actually show within the Exhibition Center as the show was full. So we booked a spacious room in Lower Manhattan's village - Tribeca. The underwhelming nature of Tribeca is what sets it apart from the Mid-Town madness of Times Square. The relative calm of the Tribeca Village oozes a certain type of aloofness about it's surrounds, that projects a quiet confidence that is alluring to creative types. Making it ideal for Niloca.

As routine dictates, we went out for an early morning run to overcome jet lag and to familiarise ourselves with the surrounds. However this run didn't end too well, with a slipped disc in the lower back, causing enough pain to waylay the entire week to the confines of the hotel....

BUT - the show must go on. Thankfully our stockists are amazing people and we saw old and new clients from Canada and from across the US.

Over the coming months their names will appear on the Stockists page, but one of the first new clients to receive their order was Gaudet Optical, from Nova Scotia. A family run independent operation in Halifax, who's reputation we'd heard about 3 years ago. Needless to say the Gaudet family did not disappoint, we're extremely lucky to have them onboard and best of all, they've already received their first shipment!!

In other news, Niloca was featured in the March edition of MiVision
